Dseal LoadMaster is a heavy-load floor-to-floor expansion joint cover built for areas that carry vehicles all day. It bridges floor movement joints in car parks, warehouses and industrial slabs, absorbing thermal and structural movement while taking the repeated loading and braking forces of vehicular traffic on both pneumatic and solid tyres.
LoadMaster is engineered as a cost-effective solution where durable vehicular performance matters more than a decorative finish. A stainless-steel plate option adds extra wear and corrosion resistance for the most demanding decks, while the floor-to-floor configuration keeps the surface even for safe vehicle movement.

Installation Guide
- Clean and level both joint edges, removing concrete laitance, grout and debris from the joint and anchor zone.
- Position the LoadMaster frame profiles along each edge, flush and level with the finished floor.
- Mark, drill and fix the frames into the slab through their fixing holes using anchors rated for vehicular loading.
- Confirm both sides are parallel and level with a consistent gap before final tightening.
- Fit the cover plate (aluminium or optional stainless steel) into the frame along the full joint length.
- Check the plate sits flush so vehicles transit without a lip, then clean the finished joint.
Maintenance & Care
LoadMaster is built for tough environments and needs little upkeep. Clear grit and debris from the joint regularly, wash with a neutral detergent diluted in water and rinse clean; avoid acidic cleaners on aluminium components, and keep the cover plate free of trapped stones that could mark tyres.
Inspect the cover plate and fixings during routine deck checks, paying attention to high-turn and braking zones where wear concentrates. Re-tighten loose anchors and replace a worn or damaged plate section without removing the fixed frame, keeping the parking or warehouse floor in service.
FAQs
LoadMaster — Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Dseal LoadMaster floor expansion joint?
LoadMaster is a cost-effective heavy-load floor-to-floor expansion joint cover for vehicular-traffic areas. It bridges floor movement joints in parking garages, warehouses and industrial slabs while carrying pneumatic and solid-tyre wheel loads.
What kind of traffic is LoadMaster designed for?
LoadMaster is built for vehicular traffic and carries both pneumatic-tyre and solid-tyre wheel loads, making it suitable for cars, forklifts and light trucks across parking and industrial floors.
Does LoadMaster come with a stainless-steel plate?
Yes. A stainless-steel cover plate is available as an option for high-wear and corrosion-prone decks, adding durability over the standard configuration in the most demanding areas.
What type of joint does LoadMaster suit?
LoadMaster is a floor-to-floor system for level vehicular slabs, where two floor sections meet on the same plane and must carry vehicles across the movement joint.
Why is LoadMaster described as cost-effective?
LoadMaster delivers durable heavy-load vehicular performance with a straightforward, robust design, making it an economical choice where function matters more than a decorative finish.
Can LoadMaster handle forklift traffic in warehouses?
Yes. Its heavy-load construction and solid-tyre rating suit warehouse and industrial floors where forklifts and pallet trucks repeatedly cross the joint.
How is LoadMaster installed?
The frames are fixed level along each joint edge with anchors rated for vehicular loading, then the cover plate is fitted flush so vehicles transit without a lip. The Installation Guide above has the full sequence.
Does LoadMaster sit flush with the floor?
Yes. The cover plate is set flush with the deck so vehicles roll across smoothly, reducing impact on tyres and the joint itself.
What is the difference between LoadMaster and ParkGuard?
Both serve parking and vehicular floors. LoadMaster is a cost-effective heavy-load floor-to-floor cover with a stainless-steel plate option, while ParkGuard uses a replaceable nitrile insert and twin-seal design. The Dseal team can advise which suits your deck.
Is LoadMaster suitable for basement car parks?
Yes. Its heavy-load floor-to-floor design suits basement and multi-level car parks, where it carries repeated vehicle loading and braking across the movement joint.
Are custom sizes available for LoadMaster?
Yes. Dhawan Associates manufactures Dseal profiles in-house and can supply LoadMaster matched to your joint width and loading. Share your deck drawings with the team for a tailored specification.
What maintenance does LoadMaster need?
Clear grit and debris regularly, wash with a neutral detergent and water, and inspect the plate and fixings in high-wear braking zones. Worn plate sections can be replaced without removing the frame.
Does LoadMaster comply with any standards?
LoadMaster aluminium profiles are manufactured in compliance with ASTM B221-02 and the ASTM 6063 specification. Dseal manufacturing is certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
Who manufactures Dseal LoadMaster?
LoadMaster is designed and manufactured in India by Dhawan Associates, makers of the Dseal range of expansion joint systems and covers, with in-house capability for custom requirements.
