Dseal DuraEdge Seal

DuraEdge Seal is a mechanical floor expansion joint made of pre-drilled aluminium side plates and an interchangeable flexible nitrile insert. It absorbs structural movement across floor joints while giving a clean, flush finish, and suits all floor finishes.

It is available for joint gaps (W) of 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 mm. The visible width is around 25–65 mm and the total width around 145–170 mm depending on the gap selected.

Movement capacity ranges from about ±3 mm on the 20 mm gap up to ±10 mm on the larger gaps, so the right size is selected for the expected structural movement at the joint.

The side plates are extruded aluminium and the central insert is nitrile rubber. Stainless-steel and brass caps are available as an option for a luxury finish.

All types — ceramic and vitrified tiles, marble, natural stone, resin and flexible floors — for both interior and exterior floors.

Yes. The nitrile insert is interchangeable, so a worn section can be replaced without removing the fixed aluminium side plates, which greatly reduces long-term maintenance and downtime.

The nitrile insert comes in black or grey as standard, allowing the joint to blend with most floor finishes.

Yes. It is supplied in floor-to-floor and floor-to-wall configurations, the latter with a visible or invisible side plate to suit the detail.

DuraEdge Seal is supplied in standard 3 m lengths, with hot-welding recommended at insert junctions for a continuous, watertight run.

The pre-drilled side plates are fixed level into the slab through their holes, the nitrile insert is pressed into the channels, and the insert is hot-welded at junctions. See the Installation Guide above for the full step-by-step.

The aluminium profiles are manufactured to the ASTM 6063 specification, and Dseal's manufacturing is certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.

Very little — clean with a neutral detergent and water, avoid acidic cleaners that attack aluminium, and replace insert sections only if worn or damaged.
